AU point: When he ended up in the Demonic Wasteland and was stealing powers, one of them was of his former self Belthazor.. this also meant that they were both united in body once more and allowed him to take his shape on occasion. He had also maintained distance from Phoebe, still loving her, but not quite as obsessive as his canon counterpart had been about it.
